In 1937, Turner entered Hollywood with bit parts until her breakthrough role in the film, "Love Finds Andy Hardy" starring Mickey Rooney. Her striking beauty and alluring screen presence won audiences over. Nicknamed "The Sweater Girl" from the film with Rooney, Turner had many roles throughout the 1940s.
