with satinwood line inlay, the arched hood with wavy frieze and ring-turned finials, with outset ringed baluster columns, wavy border to the door, chamfered sides to the trunk, on plinth base with bracket feet, the white dial with scenes painted to the spandrels, portrayal of Furness Abbey, Ulverston to the arch, the dial with pierced gilt-metal hands and subsidiary seconds ring signed Chas Hains Swindon, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, restorations, replacements -- 89in.(226cm.) high
