A good 19th-Century lacquered-brass 1¼-inch transit telescope,
signed on the backplate Dollond London, the 11-inch long body-tube with lens cap and cross-hair adjustment screws, the overmounted bubble level with ivory scale, a 3½-inch vertical circle mounted near the eyepiece with bubble level, silvered scale and twin verniers, magnifiers, fine-screw adjustment and clamp, the telescope mounted on a tapering axis, one side with fine-screw adjustment and clamp, on two tapering brass columns, one with brass and ivory attachment to support the japanned lamp with bull's-eye lens and chimney, raised on a T-shaped base with one adjustable screw foot, with one prismatic eyepiece with shade slider and one with two shade sliders and a prismatic attachment, also with one tool, a mahogany-mounted magnifier lens and an empty brass canister, in a fitted mahogany case -- 37.8cm.
