STANLEY, GREAT TURNSTILE, HOLBORN. 1897, with sliding cylinder with logarithmic scale, two indices, aluminium extension and a turned wooden handle, in a mahogany case with accompanying instructions (foxing and tears) -- 45.7cm. (18in.) long; a drawing instrument set including steel and brass compasses, ivory-handled ruling pencils and a protractor, in a velvet-lined mahogany case with removable tray and School Board For London prize label dated Oct 26 1899 -- 21.2cm. (8 3/8in.) wide; and an unsigned lacquered-brass student's drum microscope with three threaded objectives, plane substage mirror and a pair of brass tweezers, in a wooden case -- 17.5cm.
