Face Ia upper leaf, outer face: thirty-two point wind rose numbered 1-32 around the circumference, with brass pointing-finger index, compass aperture, foliate decoration in faded red and green to the corners, and two brass hooks for holding open
Face Ib upper leaf, inner face: vertical dial with central Sunface graduated VI-XII, I-VI in black and 6-12, 1-6 in red, decorative stamps and two brass eyes for closing
Face IIa lower leaf, inner face: horizontal string gnomon dial for approximately 47½° latitude graduated 4-12, 1-8 around a glazed compass with blued-iron needle and brass cap, the face plane save a central line and MERI, and a pin gnomon dial for Italian and Babylonian hours, signed CONRAD KARNER and dated 1632, with two brass hooks for closing and suspension loop on the front edge and two brass eyes on the back for holding open, a brass cover on the side for the wind vane storage hole containing brass wind vane with flag
Face IIb, lower leaf, outer face: circular scales of twice twelve hours and lunar days 1-29, with brass pointing-finger index, hunting horn maker's mark, foliate decoration and four brass bun feet
