An unusual 19th-Century german brass horizontal sundial,
unsigned, comprising a vertical plate graduated with hour and minute scales on each side, another vertical plate at right angles at either end, the inside faces of one with calendar scales and adjustment curves, the other with a pinhole aperture with cover either side of the main plate for use in the first and second halves of the year -- 14.6cm. (5 5/8in.) wide
