A mid/late 19th-Century British domestic medicine cabinet,
the double doors fitted with blue plush-lined galleries each for six water-white bottles with gilt, black and red content labels and stoppers (one bottle missing), the upper central part divided into a blue plush-lined gallery with two (of five) bottles, the lower central section with six drawers with ivory pulls (two missing), containing a brass beam balance and weights, three water-white glass vessels with cork stoppers and paper content labels, a glass mortar and pestle and other items, a back compartment concealed by a sliding panel with gallery with three (of four) bottles, the case with brass carrying handle and one ivory and one brass diamond-shaped escutcheon (keys missing) -- 28.5 x 25 x 17.5cm. (11¼ x 9 7/8 x 6 7/8in.)
