The rectangular brèche violette marble top above a conforming case set to the front with two panelled doors, one decorated with a Chinese harbour scene, the other with figures in a courtyard, opening to reveal a single adjustable shelf, the sides with quarter-veneered panels, on a plinth base and spirally-fluted feet, the carcass stamped several times L. DROMARD/PARIS
