Lot Essay

The sayagaki attributes this unsigned blade to Morikage. There were four or more generations of smiths of the Omiya Bizen School who signed with the name Morikage from the end of the 14th century through the first half of the 15th century. This sword has the typical dimensions of a Nambokucho Period cut-down tachi.
