A FINE WHITE JADE SEAL-PASTE BOX, COVER AND SPINACH-GREEN JADE STAND
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The domed cover well carved with a central roundel enclosing two pairs of taotie masks, the rounded sides of the cover and box with bands of archaistic zoomorphic scrollwork against a fret-pattern ground, the semi-translucent stone of an even white tone, the original spinach-jade stand finely carved in reticulation with a tall floral-shaped base
