A SMALL WHITE JADE FLATTENED HEXAGONAL VASE AND SPINACH-GREEN JADE STAND
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

The hexagonal hu-shaped vase is carved on each facet with a shaped cartouche enclosing taotie masks, stylised parrots and archaistic scrollwork, the long neck decorated with blade designs and flanked by a pair of tubular lug handles, all between key-fret bands around the mouth rim and foot ring, the tall foot fitted into the hexagonal section spinach-jade stand (rim chip on vase)
