LA FLEUR-PETRUS
This is Pétrus' next-door-neighbour, the soil being almost entirely composed of fast draining gravels. Acquired by Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1953 from Mr. Garet, the property had to be replanted after the great freeze of 1956. Merlot makes up 80 of the plantings, Cabernet Franc the balance. Now that the vines have matured, the wines have recovered their velvety elegance.
