Molded in the form of a seated ape, probably a hamadryas baboon, on a thin integral base, his slender arms with unarticulated hands resting on the knees, leaning slightly forward, the well-modelled head with indented eyes and nostrils, a horizontal groove for the mouth, the fur and other details rendered in dark red slip, preserving some black on the mouth, the vessel mouth at the top of the head with a thick circular rim
