Of bombé form, the loop handle with incised foliate terminals, the curved spout issuing from a mask terminal enriched in flesh tones, gilding and Böttger-lustre, the sides each painted by J.G. Höroldt with Orientals on terraces at discussion, preparing tea and one carrying a package, within gilt quatrefoil cartouches with Böttger-lustre panels and edged with gilt and red foliage scrolls, flanked by scattered insects in flight and sprays of indianische Blumen below a gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk border, the domed cover with two chinoiserie vignettes flanking a gilt knop finial (teapot with restored rim chip and slight restored chipping to footrim)
