The richly gilt loop handle joined to the helmet-shaped spout, the matt gilt neck and spout tooled with foliage and palmettes issuing from scrolls, the shoulder with a band of overlapping gilt lozenge ornament above a band of wave and dot ornament, the matt blue-ground body gilt with stars at intervals, the tapering turquoise-ground lower part reserved with gilt ciselé up-turned stiff-leaves, on a waisted gilt foot with bright and matt vertical bands (blue ground with area of wear below handle, further smaller areas of wear to blue ground)
