Circular, the centre painted in sepia with the portrait of Duke Evgenii Wurtemberg by N. Artem'ev within gilt border, the rim with gilt ciselé Imperial double headed eagles and shako over crossed swords and laurel leaf spray on gilt ground between white bands, the base inscribed in Russian 'Duke Evgenii Wurtemberg.' and signed by the artist, dated '1838' with Imperial double headed eagle, marked under base
9 3/8 in. (24 cm.) diam.
