A pair of Charles II silver-gilt waiters
Maker's mark IN in a heart, a bird beneath, circa 1670
Each circular with upturned rim, on trumpet foot, the field engraved with a coat-of-arms with earl's coronet above, marked on field with maker's mark only, each engraved beneath with scratchweight '7=15=0' and '8=8=0'

The arms are those of Granville impaling Wyche, for John, 1st Earl of Bath (1628-1701) and his wife Jane (d.1691), daughter of Sir Peter Wyche Kt. (d.1643), whom he married in 1652. (2)

Jane (d.1725), who married Henry, 2nd Earl of Rochester and 4th Earl of Clarendon of the first creation (1672-1753) and and then by descent to his granddaughter
Charlotte (d.1790), who married The Hon. Thomas Villiers (1709-1786), later 1st Earl of Clarendon of the second creation and then by descent.
Lady Jane Granville (d.1696), who married Sir William Leveson-Gower 4th Bt. (d.1691) and then by descent to their second daughter
