Identical beetles to those included in this lot were used during the banqueting scene in Pankot Palace; those with elasticated velcro fastenings were used in the tunnel sequence.

10 prop beetles of brown moulded rubber, each -- 5in. (12.7cm.) long, two with detachable bases, eight with elasticated velcro fastening to back [some legs detached] -- made for the Pankot Palace scenes in the 1984 Lucasfilm production Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom; accompanied by a copy of a callsheet for the scenes concerned referring to Dummy Bugs and the Bug Tunnel; and a prop severed thumb made of painted latex and foam -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) long -- made for the same production for use in the cave scenes (12)
