A Napoleon III ormolu and porcelain-mounted striking mantel clock, circa 1870
The case with part-fluted and lanceolate leaf cast pilasters to the angles, solid rear door, the sides mounted with painted porcelain side panels embellished with jewelling, the dial with Roman chapter ring above scene of a cavorting couple, gilt spade hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with Brocot suspension and strike on bell -- 14½in. (37cm.) high
