The drum case supported on eagle heads and within a foliate scroll cast frame and flanked by amorini, on serpentine base supported on four toupie feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with concentric calendar ring, signed C. Mathieu/A PARIS, pierced ormolu hands and blued steel calendar hand, the eight day twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell -- 18¾in. (48cm.) high
