The three-tier box with inset brass plaque with presentation inscription to the top, inset bone roundel to the front signed CHAS FRODSHAM/84/Strand/LONDON./NO.3336, with drop-down handles, brass gimbal and bowl, the 4in. (10cm.) diameter silvered dial with up/down ring, signed in the centre CHARLES FRODSHAM,/84 STRAND LONDON/NO. 3336, with subsidiary seconds ring below, gold spade and double swell hands (hour part lacking), chain fusee movement with spot-finished plates, back plate signed Charles Frodsham London, Earnshaw escapement with cut bimetallic balance and segmental heat compensation weights, blued steel helical balance; numbered key -- 6¾in.
