Chancery 8° (152 x 102mm). Gothic type, double column, woodcut initials. (Marginal repair to first leaf, very minor dampstaining in last few quires.) 19th-century half green calf gilt (upper joint partly split). Provenance: early marginal annotation.
The main work of Salicetus, a Bern doctor and abbot of the Cistercian abbey at Baumgarten, the Antidotarius animae was a popular devotional text. Goff notes that "according to GW, this was printed in types 3 and 4 of Andreas de Paltasichis". HR 14171; Goff S-44.
