Chancery 2° (296 x 209mm). Roman type, text with commentary surround, initial spaces, spaces for Greek. (Small marginal wormholes, a little staining, without initial and final blanks.) 19th-century mottled calf, gilt fillets, red leather spine label (slightly rubbed). Provenance: occasional contemporary marginalia -- Fort Augustus Abbey copy (bookplate; sale Christie's South Kensington, 16 February 2001, lot 108).
SECOND EDITION. It includes Ovid's Sappho, with commentary by Domitius Calderinus. HC 14978 (incl. HC 14975); BMC V, 456; Goff S-692.
