LETTER TO ELVIS PRESLEY FROM COLONEL TOM PARKER
1959
A typewritten two-page letter on Thomas A. Parker Management letterhead from Col. Parker to Elvis Presley, signed by him on page two. In the letter, dated October 7, 1959, Parker tells Presley he turned down an NBC request to film at Graceland, due to the fact that the family did not wish to exploit their home. Parker also goes into great detail about Presley's cousin and others who have been making collect phone calls on his account; reading in part, (sic) "There is only One thing to do Elvis you cant go on record paying for these calls for if you do he wont stop doing it, if you dont they will put a stop to taking calls from him collect and charging them on your phone."
