CIRCA 1725, THE DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY, TRACES OF LUSTRE 6 (?)
Decorated in the Augsburg workshop of Bartolomäus Seuter with vignettes of Orientals at various pursuits on terraces supported by panels of diaper ornament and within mirror-shaped cartouches edged with dot ornament and husks and joined at the sides with interlocking strapwork, the bold scrolling handle and spout richly gilt, the domed cover with similar cartouches joined by strapwork below a gilt knop finial, within a gilt band border, the finial, spout and handle with a gilt-metal chain attachment (slight wear to gilding and tarnishing near mounts, very small chip to handle, cover with minute rim chip and small chip to finial, interior flange with gilt-over chip, possibly contemporary)
