CIRCA 1730-35, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, GILDER'S 84. TO BOTH
Painted with harbour scenes with figures at discussion before boats being loaded with cargo, within shaped rectangular cartouches gilt with scrolls enclosing small Böttger-lustre panels, purple panels with leaves and iron-red panels with scroll and fret ornament, issuing further scrolls and panels with chinoiserie scenes of figures, the border gilt with scrolls, the interior of the teabowl with a spray of indianische Blumen within an iron-red double concentric circle cartouche, the teabowl interior and saucer with gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk borders (small areas of wear to gilding)
