A MEISSEN ARCHED RECTANGULAR TEACADDY AND COVER FROM A JAGDSERVICE
CIRCA 1750, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK
One side painted with bears in a wood, the other with a doe and fawns by a fountain in a park, the sides with huntsmen with hunting hounds, one with a horn, each vignette above a brown and gilt rococo-scroll support with shells and foliage, the shoulder with scattered flower-sprays below a gilt border, the spreading cylindrical domed cover with a strawberry finial above two river landscape vignettes, gilt line rim (minute chip to tip of stem on finial, very small area of wear to rim of cover)
