Modelled by Heinrich Reichart as a youth and companion, the youth wearing a turquoise coat edged with flowers and purple breeches, seated at his companion's feet and putting a bird into a cage to join another, the cage held by the girl on her knee, the girl wearing a gilt-edged pink bodice, white chemise and gilt-edged yellow skirt with indianische Blumen, seated on a grassy mound by a tree, on a green-washed mound base edged with a rocaille-moulded border enriched in gilding (chipping to his left fingers, two of her left fingers and leaves of tree, slight wear to gilding)
