A fine scale model of the Norwegian trading brig Leon
the hull of the model built up in plank on frame construction using boxwood planking on the hull and the deck with a mahogany cap rail, all finished bright, and tree nailed in place. The deck is fitted with numerous details which include: windlass, anchors, companionways, deck hatches, pin and fife rails, barrels, stove pipe, dory, skylight, life rings and ship's wheel. Fitted with a bow sprit and two masts, cross spars, and rigged with standing and running rigging. Displayed on a pair of brass pedestals within a brass bound glass case with mahogany case.
