the hull built up in lifts and painted black with a white railing and planked decks. The deck is detailed with anchors, bollards, capstans, hatches, fire buckets, coils of line, pin and fife rails, cabin tops, companionways, bell wheel, dory on davits, and numerous other details. Fitted with four masts, standing and running rigging, and a complete set of linen sails with the panels stitched in place. Displayed on a pair on brass pedestals on a wood board with a plexi glass cover.

Lot Essay

built in 1919 by Robert L. Bean of Camden, Maine for the Boston shipping firm of Crowell & Thurlow. She was lost off of Cay Verde Cuba on October 22, 1940.
