Inlaid overall with scrolling foliage in premier and contre partie, the serpentine top inset with a green leather writing surface, the corners with foliate clasps, the shaped frieze fitted to the front with a pair of drawers each with lockplate engraved Pretot et Cie. Paris, the back with similar simulated drawers, on tapering cabriole legs each with heavy scrolled floral clasp and terminating in an acanthus-cast paw sabot
