The frosted gilt three quarter plate movement with bimetallic balance, duplex escapement, blued steel hairspring, diamond endstone, further inscribed patent and watch maker to the Queen, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel moon hands, subsidiary seconds at 9, engine turned hunter case, the covers with engraved family crest, inside the front cover is a presentation to Norman William MacDonald, 1st September 1848, a gift of his Mother
