The case of cartouche outline painted with gilt flowers on a black ground and inlaid with mother-of-pearl, glazed brass bezel to a white painted Roman dial signed J.C. Brown. Bristol, Ct. U.S.A., the single cocked five-arm steel balance wheel visible at XII and stamped just below N. POMEROY BRISTOL CT. U.S, the movement with four steel front pinned pillars securing skeletonised brass plates, simple wheel train with open blued steel spring
