The movement with four turned baluster columns, skeletonised frontplate pierced and engraved with chrysanthemums, the weight-driven train with balance wheel escapement and tiny butterfly fixed to the front of the crown wheel arbor, narrow hour scale with moveable brass Japanese chapters indicated to by an engraved brass flowerhead falling with the weight, the case with key drawer in the base and detachable hood with sliding glazed front compartment
