The white enamel Roman chapter disc with pierced brass hands and sweep centre seconds within a gilt-metal dial plate cast with a chinoiserie foliage inhabited with bats, the rear-wound twin chain fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on a bell, the border-engraved backplate engraved with a fanciful Chinese signature, the case with sliding glazed dial panel, square glazed apertures to the sides with additional pierced wood frets, rising rear panel set with a large foliate-cut fret panel, the two-piece base with similar carving and central key draw
