A bergere in the Wentworth sale, Christie's, London, 8 July 1998, lot 25, was of a related form and was thought to have been reduced from an extremely rare form of bergere-daybed such as the earlier one from Kiveton, Yorkshire, now at Temple Newsam (C. Gilbert, Furniture at Temple Newsam House and Lotherton Hall, Leeds, 1978, vol. II, no. 322, p. 265).
