MABRE-CRAMOISY, Sebastien (1642-1687). Catalogus librorum Sebastiani Mabre-Cramoisy, typographi regii: sive quos ipsemet edidit, aut quorum ab avo suo Sebastiano Cramoisio editorum copiam habet. Paris: Mabre-Cramoisy, 1678.
12o (144 x 83 mm). Contemporary calf, spine gilt, morocco lettering piece; cloth case.
Mabre-Cramoisy's publisher's catalogue of the works published by his grandfather, Sébastien Cramoisy (1585-1669), and by himself. He had succeeded the former on his death. In his address to the reader, he disdainfully asserts that this is not a work on the model of the Frankfurt bookfair catalogues which include non-existing books, but is, without adulteration ("fucus") the bare ("nudus") catalogue of those books which either he himself or his grandfather had published. The only copy of this catalogue so far recorded appears to be that owned by the Börsenverein in Leipzig (Pollard & Ehrman, Table XIII).
