8o (198 x 120 mm). Contemporary French light brown half morocco, flat spine richly gilt à la grotesque, sprinkled edges (some minor soiling).

A contemporary collection of six catalogues of sales held in Paris mainly during Napoleon's war in Russia (see others listed below). ALL PRICED in a contemporary hand. It would appear that the first catalogue, attributed to Renouard, is that of 1811 which Renouard himself lists in vol. IV of his "Catalogue de la Bibliothèque d'un Amateur," 1819, p. 263, and is mentioned by G. Brunet, col. 523.

Catalogue of the remaining library of one of the principal philosophical exponents of the atheism of the enlightenment and the revolutionary period, the pupil and friend of Diderot and of Holbach whose amanuensis he became. As a collector he was praised by Brunet and Renouard. The 1813 sale is the last public sale of Naigeon's books.
