A Gray Schist Figure of a Bodhisattva
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd Century
Crisply carved standing on a rectangular plinth bearing an offering scene, wearing long flowing robes elegantly draped around his legs, a necklace with lion head pendants, an intricately carved collar and armlets, one concealed by the drapery, his face with moustache and in a benign expression, his wavy hair adorned with strands of pearls
