The rectangular inro lacquered with a gyobu-nashiji ground and decorated with court figures and a palanquin, and the reverse with autumn flowers in raised-gold lacquer, interiors nashiji; with a red-lacquer bead ojime carved in relief with flowers and a rooster and applied with an inlaid mother-of-pearl hen, the ivory netsuke carved as a pair of playful puppies
