Edo period (19th century), signed Kajikawa saku and with red jar seal
Decorated with a continuous scene of travellers arriving by boat to a shrine in gold, colored takamaki-e and hiramaki-e and highlights in hirame and kirigane on a kinji ground, interiors gyobu nashiji; with a hardstone bead ojime and a lacquered-wood netsuke of a cherry-wood stump decorated with blossoming cherry trees in gold and silver lacquer, signed Joka and with kao (cursive monogram)
