Collected about 30 years ago, this is one of the finest specimens ever to have been discovered in Lyme Regis. It is in a classic swimming pose with the snout standing proud from the host rock, adding a three-dimensional quality to the fossil. Even the eyeball has been preserved as a carbonised remain - only a handful of similar specimens are known to exist in the UK. A world-class collector's item.
