A well engineered and detailed working model vertical reversing surface condensing triple expansion marine engine,
buil by D. Sayer, Dereham with metal clad cylinder block with cylinders 1¼in., 1¾in. and 2 1/8in. bores x 2in. stroke, piston valves controlled through hand wheel and gear and lever operated Stephenson's link reversing with single horizontal cylinder steam engine to provide rapid reversing fitted with hand operated brake, cylinder head and LP steam chest pressure relief valves, drain cocks and pipework, simpling and main stop valves, LP cross head driven feed and air pumps with valves and pipework, lubricator box, cups and pipework and ratchet operated lubricator. Further details include split crankshaft with thrust bearing block, barring mechanism, laddered and handrailed access ways, chequer plate floor and other details. Mounted on fabricated bed on girder base. Finished in black, red, green and polished brightwork (some old minor damage) -- 48.5 x 61cm. (19 x 24in.). Wood base
