Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming manufacture of the present watch in 1959 and its subsequent sale on 22 October 1969. Furthermore delivered with original fitted Tiffany & Co. presentation box and outer packaging.
Production of reference 2597 with movement caliber 12'''400 HS for heures sautantes or jumping hours, was launched in 1958. The present watch, bearing movement number 727'300, appears to be fitted with the first movement made for this reference.
Reference 2597 was made in two versions; the first features an independently adjustable hour hand whereas the second, introduced in 1962, includes an additional hour hand.
The rarity of the present watch is further enhanced by the unusual and very desireable retailer signature and its excellent, near mint overall condition. Furthermore it has never been offered in public before.
