The pierced rocaille-moulded cover surmounted by a large bouquet, above an inverted pear-shaped vase, finely painted after Watteau with vignettes of figures in a garden before ruins, the reverse with a bouquet of deutsche Blumen within an applied flower and fruit surround scrolling to form the vine handles and applied with insects, the lower socle similarly moulded, and applied with a nymph holding a basket of flowers, a companion putto above
