The narrow vase in two sections, tapering to a point and supported between three gilt-bronze putti herms each issuing from a paw foot and holding a fringed drape in-front, the vase neck, lower portion and trefoil base supporting the feet enameled in colors on a bright green ground with flowers in the Persian style, the vase painted on one side with a wood nymph and Cupid and on the other side with her pink drape fluttering from a tree, emblematic of Innocence Lost, panels of strapwork and foliate scrolls in raised gilt between each putto
