Marlborough model, the silvered dial signed Thomas Mercer, with seconds ring and eight day up/down indication, solid rear door with escapement lock, handset and winding arbor, signed THOMAS MERCER/ST ALBANS ENGLAND/ESTABLISHED 1858 and numbered 1204, the single chain fusee movement with maintaining power, spot-finished signed and numbered platform to chronometer escapement with palladium helical balance -- 6¼ in. (16 cm.) high to fold of handle; with leather travel case and rate certificate
