Lot Essay

Carlo Emanuele I (1562-1630), known as (Il Grande), only son of Emanuele Filiberto, Duke of Savoy and his Marguerite, daughter of François I, King of France. He married his first cousin once removed, Caterina Micaela (1567-1597), younger daughter of Felipe II, King of Spain and his second wife, Elisabeth, daughter of Henri II, King of France and had issue.
