MAHARAJA ANUP SING OF BIKANER, BIKANER, CIRCA 1690
Gouache heightened with gold and silver on paper mounted on a red silk floral border, depicting the ruler carring a spear in his right hand while he holds the rains in the left hand to control the prancing bay stallion, the ruler and his mount stand before a lotus filled river which can be seen meandering through the vallery in the distance, middle ground a great army mounted on horses and elephants pass over the mountains out of the painting on the left side -- miniature 9 3/8in. x 6 3/8in. (23.8 x 16.2cm.)
