The baluster body painted in bright blue tones with a scholar and his assistant carrying a qin wrapped in cloth crossing a bridge between two lakeside dwellings set amidst rocks and trees, the other side with another scholar standing on the banks of the lake below flights of birds and the moon, a similar landscape design painted around the trumpet neck below a cloud-scroll band at the mouth rim, the base with a double-circle (rim chip restored)
